Cheerleading is a sport that combines music with gymnastics routines, dancing, and stunting to encourage supporters to cheer for their teams in games and competitions of American football, basketball and football. Its athletes develop rhythm, coordination, strength, agility, flexibility, balance and a great body control, besides challenging gravity by performing stunts.
This activity is currently offered only at the Botafogo site.
Marcia Reges Santos graduated in Physical Education from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) in 2007 and specialized in Dancing and Gymnastics,. She coaches the Falcons cheerleading team since 2007.
